HOW WE STARTED...

Our DNA Day Chapter at Penn State was first established in 2021 by postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Marcella Baiz. Marcella was previously involved with MI DNA Day at the University of Michigan as a PhD student. As part of her NSF PRFB grant, Marcella proposed expanding DNA Day to Penn State. Our small burgeoning chapter is seeking additional ambassadors to join our team to help us expand our influence across high schools in Pennsylvania.
